Black Nugget Lake Park
Saw a beautiful elk on the side of Highway 16 about 8:30am on our way to Miette Hotsprings (located in Jasper NP) for a wonderful soak in the hot water. Lynn had been there 15 years or so ago; so much new tree growth. Last time, she had a clear view of the mountain goats climbing up the rocks. No such luck this time!
Four hours later, we arrived at the Leduc #1 Energy Discovery Centre which was a terrific museum about the process of extracting and refining oil. It was extremely interesting and a good stop. There were two different brochures with similar information - one was targeted to Canadians and the other to Americans. It was interesting to compare the two.
Took a drive around Elk Island National Park and made our way to the campground. Had a very peaceful night.
