Experience of the Day

Woke up to a beautiful sunrise today; lounged around and had a liesurely start to our walk. We were really happy when we saw a school and we decided to ask if we could use their washroom. As we walked up, one of the kids asked why we had umbrellas, after all it was not raining. I explained that we use them to stay cool when it is sunny. We went in and used the washroom and decided we would eat lunch under a nearby tree.

"Hey old ladies!"

I heard someone say. But I wasn't really paying attention so I thought maybe I imagined that.

"Hey old ladies!"

We turned around to see who was hollering at us, and it was one of those kids at the preschool in Grand Tracadie! I was a little taken back, but as Therese said, we're probably older than their grandmother.

Continued our long walk to Bishop's Rest B&B. We were very happy to find dinner waiting for us. It has been a long day.
